Simon Davis is an experimental singer-songwriter, exploring authentic expression and using music as a tool to navigate illusory perceptions. With musical influences across various genres, such as Bon Iver, Simon & Garfunkel, Owl City, Juice Wrld, Iron and Wine and Adrianne Lenker, Simon is very passionate about developing his own, unfiltered sonic style with an emphasis on creating from the present moment. His focus has evolved to include more love, more allowance, more surrender, and less force, less pressure, less critiquing.
Growing up playing drums and acting from an early age, Simon found an outlet in playing music and performing. It provided an element of playfulness and allowed him to express himself. As he got older, Simon began to focus on sports and less on music. However, after suffering a serious head injury in high school, he decided to step away from sports and put his focus into singing and musical theatre. It was during this time that Simon rediscovered his love for performing and found tremendous joy in writing songs and being in the studio environment. Going to college for business after high school made Simon realize that music could no longer be a hobby. It had to be his main focus. He auditioned for Berklee College of Music, and enrolled there the following year. Simon is currently attending Berklee and pursuing music full time. He hopes to provide an environment for his audience to come up for air, promoting unconditional trust in life and in self.
